Sudo: Secure Private Messenger App Reviews

I love the capability that Sudo has to protect my identity while I am browsing and shopping on the Internet. Its very simple and intuitive to use and allows me to have a secure phone number, email address, credit card number and other information all in one place. If that information becomes compromised, Ill I do is delete the persona and make a new one. Before, if my personal info was compromised I had to worry about getting a new phone number and email and credit card info. Sudo just removes all that worry and extra hassle! Its nice to use the Internet without worrying about things like that.

I have been unable to receive sms or email for sudo created.

Looks great, works perfectly! So amazing to have all these kinds of messages (order confirmations, buyer questions sent via text, website sign up emails, etc) separate from my "real" inbox, iMessage and phone log. The privacy part is great, but for me, the organization is even better. Nice job!

Everything works great! My only complaint is that they should add ring tones and text tones and you should be able to read the text you got, instead of just being told you got a text.

Terrible. I have sent 1 text with this app to myself (no one else has the number) and get between 3 and 10 wrong number calls daily on the temporary number Ive been issued. Absolutely terrible.

Crashing like Crazy cant even open the app, also it somehow charged for one line when I didnt have one yet then it deleted it. Complete fail you cant even use the app

Fantastic idea but now it will not let me read any of my messages or emails. I get push notifications that I have received them, but when I go to the app to view them they arent there. For someone who uses this app for business this is absolutely unacceptable and incredibly frustrating. I notified app support and still no change. These issues are not being resolved even after contacting support services.

This is an amazing invention. I have needed another phone line but didnt want to pay the exorbitant costs of the monopoly phone companies and Sudo has exceeded my expectations. I work for myself and now have two separate lines and lives and freedom! I am so happy with this app and am eternally grateful it works so well and does just what I need it to do.

I love this app. Its a powerful tool that puts the user behind a curtain to protect their privacy in a number of situations that really do demand this sort of protection. How many times have you provided personal details to a stranger only to find yourself spammed, or worse? Sudo literally creates a safe layer that allows you to operate naturally without giving away anything you dont feel comfortable disclosing. A super slick interface and a simple set up and youre in business. Ive been a beta user from early days and the developer continues to make a lot of great improvements as they listen to their users. Recommend it highly.

Not sure why there are one star reviews...these people must have an IQ below 85, and clearly not smart enough to use a very user friendly application, but I personally LOVE SUDO! I finally feel secure in my online shopping! I currently have three separate personas for three different types of use, and personally use this service mostly for online shopping. I have changed my log-ins to my new SUDO email, along with my new SUDO assigned phone number. I also created a persona for email info sign ups (for blogs and emails from realtors). This is such an amazing service, and Im so glad I am safe to shop and give out an email / phone number without my actual credit card and contact info being shared to the universe for anyone to steal. If I were single, I would most definitely use SUDO for online dating as well. Its pretty cool how you can set up a persona, with a completely different location of your choice too. The more I learn about SUDO, the more excited I am about the service and privacy it affords individuals. Check it out, you will not be dissapointed! This is the new and ONLY way to keep your personal information secure. So much more than what banks are offering with their cards as well.

What a clever app. I use it to manage all my communications when I dont want my personal data out on the web. Definitely the best feature is getting a new phone number. Ever get a call from a number you dont recognize? Dont pick up and call back with your Sudo number instead to find out who it is. Im looking forward to the newest cool features that keep rolling out.

I love this app. Quick to set up and easy to use. When every new contact can be a source of spam, Sudo is just a great shield.

I met the Sudo folks at a conference during their launch in January and thought the concept was great. I started using the app right away for property management, setting up a separate emails and phone numbers for each property. While it worked it was an incredible way to track my calls, emails & text messages for each property. Unfortunately, one day it just stopped working. I constantly got pop up messages saying I had a missed call, new text messages and emails to read but when I clicked on the app no new messages would show up. So basically I knew people were trying to reach me. but I didnt know who they were, didnt have access to their phone numbers and had no way of reaching them. Incredibly frustrating! I couldnt access any of my calls for more than a week. I contacted customer service several times but got no answer even though I kept telling them it was urgent. It took a few weeks to hear back from them, but at that point Id already lost a lot of business, and I had to completely redo my property listings with my own number and emails and had moved on. I couldnt risk them not fixing it properly and losing more money. Hope they work out the bugs so that I can use them again in the future. If it works really great service.

First thing is that the purpose of this app is about setting up multiple identities. You only get one free. You can do that by setting up a Gmail account with a google voice account free which allows you phone calls and texting. But while it sounds good I could not test it since setting up the one and only identity you are allowed free is tough when there are no phone numbers available in most areas. If you want to get the experience of multiple identities in one app you will have to pay and all these apps add up. I choose to pay for very important must have very tried and reputable service apps and a lot of these apps require investment of our time, our data and money to later be bought or sold or simply be discontinued. I am going to simply delete it. First give it away and establish yourself as an app and developer and earn our trust. Later charge new members only instead of your early adopters. Good luck!
